Cogir at the Narrows was a very clean and open environment. The staff was very professional and did a good job of showing me around. Some of the residents were playing a game like Pinnacle. I also noticed that they have mahjong available on their schedule.

The rooms were clean and quite adequate. The staff was phenomenal. Caring, giving, loving and very attentive to the needs of the residents. The residents were happy and very enthusiastic at welcoming my mother to her new residence. Thank you for making this very hard decision about placing my mother into an assisted living facility feel like I was leaving her with family.

The tour experience with Cogir at the Narrows was excellent. The price wasn't bad at all. It was very well kept up. I like the meal plans. It was probably my favorite out of all of them that I looked at. The staff who toured me was exceptional. She answered all my questions. She was very polite. She showed me around and took me to a couple of different floor plans. The outdoor area was all nice, and it was close to a park, I like to get out and walk around parks and stuff. They had a hair salon. I could get my beard trimmed there. The dining area looked nice.

My mom has moved into Cogir at the Narrows. It's modern and spacious. Beautiful grounds. It's very clean and welcoming. With regards to the staff, everybody seems to be pretty on the ball. They're very responsive so far. They have some exercise classes, bingo, and movies. My mom has only been there a little bit, so I'm not sure what activities they have. In terms of amenities they have an exercise room and beautiful grounds. The outside is just really pretty. There are lots of trees. It feels very secluded and safe. The dining area is beautiful. The food is institutional, so hopefully that will get better. We're not too impressed.

I toured Cogir at the Narrows. It was like I was walking into a high-class hotel. The grounds were very clean. The apartments were very nice. The staff who toured me was very knowledgeable and pleasant to talk with. The dining area was lovely. I saw some people sitting, and they looked like they were very happy with what they were eating. It looked like they had quite a few activities. They have an activities room where they can play games and do puzzles.

I liked Cogir at the Narrows as far as the progression from independent living to assisted living all in one location. They seemed to offer a lot of activities for the seniors. They had different locations where the seniors could go sit and socialize. They offer meal options for my mom and I was impressed with that. When I showed my dad the monthly menu, he seemed very impressed with the options, too. If I had to choose, I would have to put my parents in there. I was impressed with their facility. They also have off-site activities once a month, movie nights, and a library (my mom's an avid reader so that was a plus). I liked how they had a dining facility. They had a beautiful setting. They had a garden and a little place outside that the seniors could go sit in. It was in a really pretty setting to feel homey.

It is a beautiful place to live and the staff is very caring, always polite and very hard working. I feel they might need more staff that way they can take longer vacations to help them recover and keep their energy levels up!

Cogir has been a wonderful place for my parents. Moving a parent is sometimes a difficult and emotional thing to do. In our case, their kids, grandchildren and great grandchildren were up in this area. It was a needed move for them. Since they moved in, they have made good friends and are active in all the activities including putt putt golf, bingo and the socials. The musicians that come are also wonderful. The two bedroom they are in is very spacious and works well. Being able to decorate outside their room is also a big plus!

Very important to consider financial stability of parent company and what turnover of management company has been/is. Setting is outstanding! Clean, excellent activities department: crafts, field trips, entertainment, and exercise programs!

my mom Jean has lived here for 2 years and although the transition to Cogir was tough, I don't think it was Cogir's fault. They have really worked hard to keep the resident's experience coherent and they have improved quite a few things. There is still some work to do with communications between the staff (who are lovely caring people, real angels) through management to family. I'm confident we'll get there, though. Mom has had to go to the ER multiple times and they have done an exemplary job getting her there and managing her return when I was not able to. I recommend you consider them for your precious parents.

Cogir at the Narrows is closest to my house. I liked it there when I went to do the visit. The facility was very, very nice. One nice thing that I liked was that they had senior living, assisted living, and also memory care, so my mom could transfer if something was wrong. I got to see a two-bedroom and a one-bedroom apartment. It was very nice. They have exercise programs. They have a beauty salon there. The dining room was very nice. They go on tours, like field trips, which I thought was nice. The facility was very clean.

We chose Cogir at the Narrows. We're going into senior living, but there is also assisted care and memory care available. The tour was really good. We've been over there four times now. The staff is very helpful, friendly, and very accommodating concerning personal interests and things that are going to make your experience there feel more like home and pleasant. The rooms are larger than many and they're nicely appointed and maintained. They have an exercise room and there's a big common room that has a grand piano in it and a big screen to show movies. There are alcoves throughout the building where there are tables and chairs set up with jigsaw puzzles on them. There's a library, a 24-hour coffee bar, and lots of smaller seating areas where you can sit with someone and have a conversation. There are lots of activities planned. There are at least two activities every day on the calendar. It has a beautiful residential setting as opposed to being in the middle of the city, which was particularly appealing to us. It's right near the Sound. We can walk to the beach. I can have my own garden space there. There are lots of possibilities there that make it a very appealing place. We looked at other places and they didn't compare. The food was excellent. There is a chef and a sous chef. I have special dietary needs, and they are very accommodating for those kinds of things. I'm still working and so I take lunch to school every day and they can accommodate that and do that for me. When we went there to eat, I had a salmon bowl and the salmon was perfectly prepared.

I took a tour for my mother, and they were very accommodating. The rooms were very nice. The staff was also very nice and very accommodating. I didn't really see many activities, it was still in COVID time, and they hadn't opened up much of their stuff at the time that I went. When we visited, the dining room wasn't even open, but it is now. The facility was very clean. I didn't see a residential outdoor area, but the grounds were very lovely, and we are familiar with that area because my mother doesn't live far from there. The residents seemed to be very happy and engaged.

My cousin will be moving into a totally new place that no one else has been in. It has just been renovated. They have lots of activities like music and ice cream socials. They have heavy care, which is what my cousin needs. You get to eat anywhere and anytime you want. They also provide transportation. The person who toured us was very inviting, warm, knew the residents by name, and seemed to be very knowledgeable, helpful, and caring.

It is a really nice place. I have only been there and visited my ex-husband twice, and that was when he was moving in. They seem to be dealing with him just fine. He has memory issues and behavioral issues, and they seem to be handling everything very well. My daughter is really pleased with the place. They seem to be a very caring group of people. He has to have somebody come and give his medication every day. I did notice that they have two cafeterias or eating places. One of them is more of a formal setting, and the other one was more casual so that is kind of nice. Everything I heard so far since he has been there has been really exceptional. I was impressed, and I will live there because I think it is a nice place. It is in a good location in a very nice neighborhood, and he has a very nice view of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge. I think it is probably one of the better places around in our area anyway.
